Forum: etree Subject: changing the identifier once you've finished uploading?

Hey all,

I uploaded this:
http://www.archive.org/details/charm2011-04-14.ecmms907.flac16a

and put a typo of "flac16a" with an "a" at the end, instead of just "flac16".

can it be changed?

is there anyway to change this ourselves, or should I just ask for an admin to help change it?

if it can't be changed though it's no big deal i guess.

thanks all,
-trev.

edit - also rather than post another thread, i have another problem.

when i try and edit this page by clicking the "edit" button:
http://www.archive.org/details/charm2010-01-14.ecmms907.flac16

i get this error:
The specified item was not found "live" in the US cluster or does not have metadata.

also happens with this page:
http://www.archive.org/details/charm2011-02-10.ecmms907.flac16

but none of the other pages seem to get this error? is there a way to fix this?

its renamed. No you can't change the identifier yourself. if you post here or email etree@archive.org it will get done. as for the other two issues, server is in limbo so you will have to wait it out

awesome thanks for renaming it! no probs that I can't change it myself, just wanted to check so that I don't bother admins with stuff that I can do myself if needed.

so server in limbo = nothing i did wrong, or nothing wrong with those pages? if so that's fine, i understand there's always gonna be issues occasionally, like any website.

just trying to make sure i do my bit in making things work properly, and find out if i do something wrong so i (hopefully) won't do it again.

thanks for the quick response too!

cheers,
-Trev.
